We outfit for Coues Deer and Goulds Turkey on 200,000 acres of private land. With  exclusive hunting rights on our properties, we can limit the number of deer and turkey harvested in order to provide our clients an opportunity to harvest the best trophy possible.

Our camps are limited to 5 hunters per week and we guide just 20 Coues Deer hunters and 20 Goulds Turkey hunters a season. These management practices have allowed us to maintain control of our camps and increase the percentage of hunters harvesting trophy deer and turkey. In fact, our hunters have enjoyed 98% success rates on both deer and turkey over the past four years. Why? Because we own our ranches and we don't overhunt them!

Goulds Turkey HuntingAll of our ranches are in excellent condition. With an increase in moisture levels over the past four years, we have seen good acorn crops, better antler growth and healthier deer. We are also supplementing the natural salt licks with minerals to enhance antler growth.

We have excellent accommodations and care for your trophy animals including taxidermy.

We make hunting in a foreign country easy and painless. We will walk you through everything you need!

Hello, my name is Ernesto Beall.
I am the owner of Ojo Caliente Outfitters which operates out of Nuevo Casas Grandes, Mexico and El Paso, Texas. I was born and raised in Casas Grandes. Following graduation from high school, I attended New Mexico State University and obtained a Bachelor’s Degree in range science. I am happily married to Carolina and we have three children, Ernesto, Jorge, and Carolina.

In the early 1900’s my grandfather came to Mexico on a cattle drive from the United States. He loved the culture and people of Mexico so much he decided to settle and raise a family. My grandfather purchased several ranches over the years and became one of the largest cattle ranchers in northwestern Chihuahua. My father was involved in the lumber business in Mexico and along with my mom, raised a family of four boys. Most of the ranches have remained in the family and have provided a way of life for three generations.

I started hunting with my father as a young boy, and as you might expect, hunting has become a way of life for me. I have hunted all over North America and I have taken numerous trophies including elk, mule deer, desert bighorn, pronghorn antelope, mountain goat, interior grizzly, coastal grizzly, several subspecies of caribou and numerous trophy Coues deer. After taking most of the North American game animals, I became interested in helping others fulfill their dreams of hunting trophy game animals in my native Mexico. I founded Ojo Caliente Outfitters in 1988 and immediately started guiding deer, turkey, and waterfowl hunters throughout the state of Chihuahua.

In the late 1990’s I started looking for ways to bring U.S. hunters into Mexico on guided Mule Deer, Coues Deer and Goulds Turkey hunts. We formed an outfitters’ association which lobbied for wildlife legislation giving landowners the right to register their land and apply for hunting permits based on current biological data. In 1995 the Mexican legislature passed the UMA system of game management, which paved the way for our outfitting business in Mexico. Over the years I have guided and outfitted many successful Coues Deer, Mule Deer and Goulds Turkey hunts, and I plan on continuing in this fashion for many years to come. I am dedicated, well versed in game management, and have used my education and experience to develop our ranches for the benefit of our clients.

If you have taken the time to read this short biography you recognized that I am sincere about my profession and well equipped to serve even the most discriminating hunters.

Hasta luego and happy hunting!

Ernesto Beall
